De meest voorkomende hebben te maken met uitgevoerde werken in de tuin zoals het uitsteken van onkruid, uitbreiden of verkleinen van gazon of bloemperk, randen opschonen of de hond die zijn poten niet Na verloop van tijd kan er namelijk oxidatie optreden. Het is daarom zeker geen overbodige luxe om ook die aansluiting eens extra na te kijken. De oxidatie wordt vaak veroorzaakt door insecten die van het laadstation hun schuilplaats willen maken. Daarnaast kan ook een defecte voeding of de printplaat binnenin het laadstation aan de oorzaak liggen van een slecht signaal. Zo kan je het laadstation van je grasrobot onder een afdakje zetten en het op een vaste steen of ondergrond plaatsen. In beide gevallen zijn het laadstation en de aansluitingen beter beschermd tegen insecten en oxidatie.
